Three ways to arrive

You genuinely do not need a car to come here, which is rarer in the Peak District than it should be.

By train

Hathersage station sits on the Hope Valley line with direct trains from Sheffield and Manchester. Turn left out of the station and the pub is on the corner, about two minutes on foot. It is the easiest car-free weekend in the Peak District.

By car

Hathersage is on the A6187 between Sheffield and Castleton, roughly ten miles west of Sheffield. There is free parking on site, so you can leave the car for the whole of your stay.

By bus

The 257, 271 and 272 services run through the village, linking Hathersage with Sheffield, Bakewell and the wider Hope Valley. The stop is a short walk from the door.
